Key West, Florida
Key West is an island in the Straits of Florida on the North American continent at the southernmost tip of the Florida Keys.
The island is about 4 miles (6.4 km) long and 2 miles (3.2 km) wide. In the late 1950s many of the large salt ponds on the eastern side were filled in, nearly doubling the original land mass of the island. The island measures 3,370 acres (13.6 km2) in area.
Key West claims to be the only city in the lower 48 states never to have had a frost. Because of the proximity of the Gulf Stream in the Straits of Florida, about 12 miles (19 km) south and southeast, and the tempering effects of the Gulf of Mexico to the west and north, Key West has a notably mild, tropical climate, in which the average temperatures during winter are about 14 degrees[vague] lower than in summer. Cold fronts are strongly modified by the warm water as they move in from the north in winter. The average low and high temperatures in January are 67 °F (19.4 °C) and 75 °F (23.9 °C).
Fiji is the hub of the South West Pacific, midway between Vanuatu and the Kingdom of Tonga. The archipelago is located between 176° 53′ east and 178° 12′ west.
Fiji consists of 322 islands (of which 106 are inhabited) and 522 smaller islets. The two most important islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The islands are mountainous, with peaks up to 1,300 metres (4,250 ft), and covered with thick tropical forests. Viti Levu hosts the capital city of Suva, and is home to nearly three quarters of the population.
Aruba is a Caribbean island in the Caribbean Sea, north of Venezuela.
It is a flat, river-less island renowned for its white sand beaches; its tropical climate is moderated by constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean; the temperature is almost constant at about 27 degrees Celsius (81 degrees Fahrenheit).
Discovered and claimed for Spain in 1499, Aruba was acquired by the Dutch in 1636. The island’s economy has been dominated by three main industries. A 19th century gold rush was followed by prosperity brought on by the opening in 1924 of an oil refinery. The last decades of the 20th century saw a boom in the tourism industry. Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986 and became a separate, autonomous member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Movement toward full independence was halted at Aruba’s request in 1990.

The Bahamas, officially the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, is an English-speaking country consisting of 29 islands, 661 cays, and 2,387 rocks. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean southeast of the United States of America, north of Cuba, Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) and the Caribbean Sea.
Aruba is part of the Dutch “ABC” islands, along with Bonaire and Curaçao, off the coast of Venezuela. Aruba spreads out in a dry desert landscape of red dirt, cactus, and volcanic rock, interspersed with divi-divi trees, their branches bent from the 10- to 25-knot breezes. With less than 24 inches of rain a year, mostly in November and December, Aruba virtually guarantees sunny weather for your vacation, tempered by the constant trade winds that keep temperatures at a comfortable average of 82 degrees year-round.
Republic of Maldives is composed of several, beautiful atoll islands. Columbus claimed Hispaniola in 1492, and it later became the major launching base for the Spanish conquest of the Caribbean, as well as the American mainland.
